The Challenge
This homeowner wanted to reduce their reliance on the grid without impacting the clean, modern appearance of their property. With a south-facing roof offering excellent solar potential, the challenge of this project was to balance energy generation and battery storage with the aesthetics of the home, creating long-term reliability.
Our Solution
Lincs Renewables designed and installed a bespoke 4.86kWp domestic solar PV system, with 12 x 405W all-black solar panels, paired with a 5kW hybrid inverter and 15kWh of SunSynk battery storage.
The all-black panels and their matching mounting rails were selected to complement the existing look of the property, with its dark roof tiles. This created a more discreet, uniform appearance, while still making the most of the south-facing roof.
The added battery storage allows any excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored and used during the evening and overnight. This supported the homeowner in increasing self-consumption and reducing reliance on peak-rate grid electricity.
